While thinking all these you don’t actually get time to plan for your house party menu and you end up ordering food from your local food corner. Well this time try something different and treat your friends and family with some healthy homemade food. What better gift would be than treating someone with the love, which only you can put in that food? If you like to do that for your loved ones you are at the right place, coz I have made the task easy for you.

Here is the list of recipes for Newyear’s eve menu which you can easily cook for your House Party. The menu is divided in three course Starter, Mains and Dessert. Each course has 3 recipes so that you can choose your favorite.The recipes listed are easy, quick, yummy and healthy to the core.This is the perfect Healthy way to end the year.


Starter is the most important part of the menu, starter should be great to kick start your party. Try these quick and easy starters

1. Soya Skewer

Just when you thought, skewers can’t be made at home, I introduced you to this super easy and health packed Soya Skewers and yes it can be made at home in your own Kitchen..(Giggle). These skewers are a perfect substitute of mutton/chicken for vegetarians as it tastes superb and is power packed with protein & other essential nutrients. Its low in fat & has zero cholesterol. Ingredients & Quantity

  • 2 cup Soya flakesQuiq
  • 1 tbs oatmeal
  • 1 medium size onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbs ginger – garlic paste
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 cup peas
  • 2-3 green chils, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup paneer, gated
  • 1 tbs garam masala
  • 1 tbs black pepper, freshly ground
  • 2 tbs coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tbs + sprinkle chaat masala
  • olive oil for brushing
  • salt to taste

How to Cook?

  1. Soak soya flakes in hot water for 5 mins. Take enough water.
  2. Boil peas as well, till soften.
  3. Now, strain soya & peas & mince it for 5 seconds in a mincer.
  4. Now add all the leftover ingredients together & mix well.
  5. Keep it a side for 15 mins.
  6. Now after 15 mins grease your hands with oil. Skew on skewers and grill in the pre-heated oven for 10 mins at 220 C, occasionally turning them, & brushing them with oil. so that they are evenly brown on all sides.
  7. Sprinkles some chaat masala & serve hot with onions dipped in Pudina chutney.


  • You can also grill them on grill pan if you dont have oven or OTG at home

2. Chinese Stir Fry Tofu

Second in this list is my favorite Chinese Stir Fry Tofu, I am simply in love with this Spicy, Crunchy and a bit sweet dish, My award winning dish. Making this super delicious dish is even simple,  if you don’t have Tofu at home you can use the same preparation with Paneer. This is one of those comfort foods that you make when a serious eat out craving hits, but you still want to cook at home to save a few calories. This is a must keep recipe for your Newyear’s Eve Menu.Trust me it can be a great treat for your friends and family.

Ingredients & Quantity

  • 200 grams soft Tofu
  • ½ Red bell pepper, chopped in big cubes
  • ½ Yellow bell pepper, chopped in big cubes
  • ½ Green bell pepper, chopped in big cubes
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped in big cubes
  • 2-3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • ½ cup spring onion greens, chopped roughly
  • 4 tbs all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbs corn flour
  • 1 tbs black pepper, freshly ground
  • 2 tbs sesame oil for shallow frying
  • ½ tbs chili sauce (Or more as per taste)
  • 1 tbs schezwan sauce
  • 1 tbs soy sauce
  • ½ tbs vinegar
  • 1 tbs chili flakes
  • ½ tbs tomato ketchup (optional)
  • 1 tbs garlic paste
  • 1 tbs ginger paste
  • Salt as per taste

How to cook?

  • Cut the tofu in cubes, approximately 1 inch
  • Now take a deep bowl and mix all-purpose flour, 3 tbs corn flour, black pepper, salt, garlic paste and some water to make a paste, the consistency should be medium, not too flowy not too thick.
  • Now put the tofu cubes in the mixture and marinate them.
  • Keep the remaining 1 tbs flour separately in a wide plate.
  • Heat sesame oil in a flat pan.
  • Take out the Tofu cubes from mix and slightly roll over flour in the plate and put it in the pan for shallow frying.
  • Shallow fry each batch flipping till golden brown.
  • Take out the Shallow fried Tofu on a kitchen towel so as to get rid of the excess oil.
  • Now in the same pan with left over oil you can make the sauce
  • Put chopped garlic first.
  • Then add chopped onions and peppers.
  • Cook for 3-5 mins, don’t let them soften, keep it crunchy.
  • Now add ginger paste, chili sauce, soy sauce, salt, chili flakes and mix well.
  • Now add Tofu cubes and toss it properly.
  • Add vinegar and take it out of gas.
  • Garnish with spring onion and serve hot.

3. Dahi Ke toast

Now third in my list is the most convenient and extremely easy dish, which even your kids can make. Dahi Ke toast, this simple and homely toast is delectable and gets ready in no time. There is no frying in the whole process just a bit of oil brushing, you can make them in Air fryer too but I like to make this on a flat pan(Tawa). I am sure you will love these amazing toast coated with curd & veges. A perfect start for your New year’s dinner.

Ingredients & Quantity

  • 1 cup Dahi (Curd)
  • 2 wheat bread slice
  • 1/4 red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/4 yellow bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1/4 capsicum, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tomato, finely chopped
  • 2 spoons Semolina (Rava or Sooji)
  • black pepper grounded freshly (sprinkle)
  • Salt to taste
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • Oregano (Sprinkle)

How to cook?

  1. Take Dahi (Curd) in a bowl, whisk to make a smooth paste
  2. Add semolina to it & keep for 5 mins
  3. Now add all the veges in the mixture with salt, add some water if you see the paste is so dry or thick
  4. Now cut each bread slice in 4 squares
  5. Put them in the mixture one by one & coat them well with veges
  6. Meanwhile heat the pan & brush some olive oil on it.
  7. Now place the toast one by one on the pan
  8. Flip to check for golden brown color on both side.
  9. Now sprinkle some oregano & black pepper
  10. Serve hot with your choice of sauce or just grab it as it is.


  • You can skip the mentioned veges & and can add your choice of vegetables


When it comes to main course in a Party, people don’t like to Hog much after drinks, so here is a quick and light on your tummy dishes which you can opt for your main course.

1.Vietnamese Rice Paper Roll With Grilled Vegetables And Tofu

If you are looking for a light dinner option, as your guests are stuffed with starters already, but you still want to feed your guests with a good Main course, go for this thai cuisine. Vietnamese Rice paper roll are a traditional dish made with pork, chicken, some vegetables and rice noodles wrapped in Rice paper. They usually serve them at room temperature and use a peanut dip alongside. So you have all the options open here for vegetarians and non vegetarians. If you want to surprise your guests with your cooking skills, try rolling some of them for your guests this time.

  • 4 Rice paper sheets
  • ½ cup green capsicum, sliced
  • ½ cup yellow pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup tofu fingers
  • ½ cup red pepper, sliced
  • 1-2 carrots, sliced in length
  • ½ cup broccoli florets
  • 5-7 basil leaves (Optional)
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • 1 ½  tbs oregano
  • 1 ½ tbs olive oil
  • ½ tbs black pepper, fresh grounded
  • ½ tbs basil
  • Salt to taste

How to cook?

  • Heat ½ tbs olive oil on a grill pan
  • Put the chopped garlic
  • Now put the vegetable in the pan
  • Season them using half of oregano, pepper, salt and Basil
  • Once done take it out in a plate to cool down
  • Now Grill tofu properly with left over oregano, pepper and salt
  • Grill till golden brown
  • And keep them a side, if needed put more seasoning
  • Now take your rice paper sheet on a kitchen paper towel, I used double folded paper towel
  • Place the rice paper sheet on kitchen paper towel slowly pour warm water with a spoon
  • Take care of the edges
  • Once the rice paper is soften
  • Place another kitchen paper towel again use double folded, over the rice paper
  • Slowly with your fingers try taking the rice paper on the other towel
  • Now place the filling at one end and start rolling
  • Bind it from the adjacent ends.
  • Once you are half way put another layer of filling and keep rolling to lock the other edges
  • Similarly roll the other rice paper sheets
  • Your Rice Paper Roll With Grilled Vegetables And Tofu are ready

This is one dish I love cooking when I have guest at home. Everyone loves pasta, kids and parents both relish it, also it is easy to make. This dish has ample scope for experiment. You can use any pasta shape. You can use your favorite veges or if you love non-veg then don’t stop yourself adding some chicken chunks in it. I am cooking this with Wheat penne and No cheese, so that you can indulge in this healthy, saucy & juicy dish guilt free. Give it a try..for me.

Ingredients & Quantity

  • 1 Cup wheat penne (or whatever pasta shape you like)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 4-5 garlic clove, minced well
  • 1 small capsicum, finely chopped
  • 4 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 4-5 button mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 tbs chili flakes
  • 1 tbs chili powder
  • 2-3 fresh basil leaves (or dried)
  • 1 tbs oregano dried
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbs extra olive oil
  • 1 tbs vinegar

How to cook?

  1. Boil the pasta in a big container with excess water, add salt & 2-3 drops of of oil(any)
  2. When par cooked, strain pasta & don’t throw the strained Water. sprinkle some oil using your fingers so that pasta wont stick to each other.
  3. Now in a pan, heat 1 tbs olive oil & add chopped garlic, before the garlic get burnt add onion, mushrooms & capsicum.
  4. Saute them for 2 mins adding salt. so that veges gets soften a bit without getting more cooked.
  5. Now add tomatoes (You can blanch the tomatoes & can make puree as well) & add the strained water of pasta, this will give your pasta a thick & juicy sauce. Cover it with a lid.
  6. Let the tomatoes leave all the juices & get soften completely into a gravy.
  7. Now add chili, chili flakes, oregano & basil. Saute for a min
  8. Now add the boiled pasta stir slowly & add vinegar with stir.
  9. Garnish with some oregano & basil with more extra virgin olive oil. Serve hot with Garlic bread.


  • You can use pasta of your choice
  • Always cook pasta in excess water & never throw the leftout water.
  • Always use the pasta water for your gravy, this gives thickness to your sauce
  • You can use cheese on the top at the time of serving if you want.

3. Curried Cloudy Egg recipe

Since the weather is cold and demands for something hot, spicy and curried, You can make this dish for your main course. And if you are an egg lover, man this dish is for you. Health and taste comes hand in hand with these luscious red curried cloudy eggs, cooked in Indian spices. You can serve with Roti or Rice, it tastes amazing.

Ingredients & Quantity

  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 medium sized onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tbs ginger – garlic paste
  • 3 medium sized tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tbs turmeric powder
  • 2 tbs coriander powder
  • 1/2 tbs garam masala
  • 1 tbs red chili (or less depending on the hotness of chili)
  • 1/2 tbs cumin powder
  • 1-2 bay leaves
  • 1-2 black cardamom
  • 1 red chili, dried
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tbs coriander leaves for garnish

How to cook Cloudy egg curry?

  1. Heat olive oil in a flat deep pan.
  2. Add bay leaves, black cardamom and dry red chili
  3. Once they start crackling, add chopped onions
  4. Cook the onions till golden
  5. Now add ginger garlic paste, cook for 5 mins
  6. Add all the spices now with one spoon water
  7. Now add chopped tomato
  8. Let them cook until soften and let oil release
  9. Now add half a cup of water, jut to make the gravy
  10. Now boil it for 2-3 mins
  11. Break the eggs in the curry one by one
  12. Sprinkle some salt and black pepper on the eggs
  13. Cover the pan with lid and let the eggs cook for 8-10 mins
  14. Once the eggs are cooked completely, it will become like a big omlate type.
  15. Switch off the gas. Garnish with coriander leaves
  16. Serve your Cloudy egg curry hot with Chapati or plain rice.


Last but not the least, every party is incomplete without a great desert. Here is a list of some easy and healthy dessert, you can make in no time to impress your guests at Newyear eve’s house party.

1. Kunafa


Kunafa pops first in my mind, when it comes to a classic dessert. I have presented this dessert at a lot of places and the response has always been overwhelming. This is my award winning recipe for Hyperbudding chef. Kunafa which is an Arabic dish is a perfect way to end you evening. A beautiful vermicelli cake filled with Paneer cream topped with rose syrup and baked to perfection.This is something to die for. The making involves an elaborated process but the results is worth the effort.Though it doesn’t stand in this quick and easy recipe list, but the list would be incomplete without Kunafa.

  • Serves: 6 Person(s)

Ingredients & Quantity

 For layering:

  • 100 grams of thin vermicelli (Readymade)
  • 25-30 grams butter (Melted)

For Filling:

  • 1 ½ cup full cream milk
  • 50 grams Paneer (Cottage cheese)
  • ¼ tbs corn flour
  • ¼ tbs custard powder (Optional)
  • 1 tbs Maida (Pastry flour)
  • 1 ½ tbs Amul milkmaid
  • 2-3 tbs sugar free (You can use the same amount of white sugar)
  • 2 green ground cardamom, grounded
  • 2-3 drops of almond extract
  • 3-4 drops of Kewra
  • ¼ cup dry fruits or more for garnish(Almond + Pistachio roasted in butter)

For Syrup:

  • 1 cup water
  • 3-4 tbs sugar
  • 3-4 tbs honey
  • 1 tbs lemon juice
  • 3-4 drops of rose water

How to cook?

For layering:

  1. Break the vermicelli with fingers in a large bowl adding butter to it.
  2. Now grease a baking tray with butter, always grease upward (I used silicon mold as its easy to demold).
  3. Now place the vermicelli in the baking tray pressing well, make about 1 inch layer & keep it a side
  4. Pre – heat the oven on 200 degrees

For Filling:

  1. Take a deep sauce pan over low heat and pour milk into it.
  2. Add grated paneer to it
  3. Now mix corn flour, custard powder & maida with some cold water
  4. Mix well for lumps free mixture
  5. Now pour the mixture in the milk and boil with constant stirring
  6. Add sugar free to it. You can also add sugar as per your preference
  7. Add Almond extract & Kewra, stirring constantly till it gets thick creamy texture
  8. Now add Milkmaid with cardamom powder and let it cool for some time.

For Syrup:

  1. Mix all the ingredient together & boil for 5-7 mins.


  1. Now pour the paneer mixture over set vermicelli.
  2. Place the remaining vermicelli over the paneer mixture lightly, don’t press the vermicelli too much.
  3. Now bake for 45-50 mins till the top layer of vermicelli become golden
  4. After it gets baked take out the tray & let it rest for 5 mins then de-mold the cake cautiously. Inserting knife in the edges.
  5. Now pour the honey syrup.
  6. Top it with roasted dry fruits, serve the way you want.

2. Cherry And Chocochip Muffins

Second in my list is these Cherry and Chocochip muffins, the reason to put it in the list is everyone loves chocolate and it’s a festive season so cakes and muffins are top of the mind now. These lovely muffins are soft inside, with bites of cherry and chocolate lifts your mood. Made with goodness of oats and fresh cherries, they would be a treat to your eyes. You can serve them warm topping with some hot chocolate syrup or with vanilla ice-cream or just like that. These little muffins would be a sure shot hit for your party.

Ingredients & Quantity

  • 1 cup oats flour (ground the oats in grinder for coarse flour)
  • 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbs baking soda
  • 1/4 cup sugar free or granulated brown sugar
  • 1 tbs cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup of canola oil or olive oil
  • 3/4 cup of low fat milk
  • 1 tbs almond extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 egg with yolk
  • 1/4 chopped dark chocolate
  • 1 cup fresh seedless cherries

How to cook?

  1. Preheat your oven to 280 degrees
  2. In a bowl, take all the dry ingredients (oats flour, whole wheat flour, sugar, baking soda, cocoa powder & salt) & mix well
  3. Now in a separate take oil, egg, almond extract & milk. Mix well with a blender or simply whisk using a spoon.
  4. Now pour the wet ingredient in dry, lightly folding the batter.
  5. Now lastly add cherries & chocolate fold them in the batter.
  6. Grease 9 muffin molds & pour the mixture.
  7. Bake the muffins for 25-30 mins until brown or till the toothpick inserted comes out clean
  8. Let them rest for 5 mins in the molds & then put them on a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Your Cherry-choco oats muffins are ready to be served.


  • In you want to skip egg, use 1/2 tbs baking soda

3. Baked Apple fritters with apple cider

Looking for health and taste together? Baked apple fritter can surely be your pick. These Baked apple fritters with Apple cider is an extremely light and easy dessert. The aroma of sauted apple with cinnamon and brown sugar with a touch of Apple cider was just irresistible. To make them low on calorie, I used wheat bran with allpurpose flour for the dough which gave it a beautiful brown color & fluffy chewy texture. If you want a healthy dessert to your loved ones do try my version of Apple fritters with apple Cider just to cut off those calories.

Ingredients & Quantity

  • 1 cups flour (3/4 bran + 1/4 all purpose)
  • 1 medium apple (Pealed , coared & cut into bite size pieces)
  • 1/2 tbs baking soda
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbs ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Canola oil (Or unsalted butter)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tbs vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 spoon Apple cider
  • 1 tbs Blackstrap Molasse
  • Splash of hot water
  • 1 pinch salt

How to cook ?

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Grease baking dish with cooking spray and set aside. I used round baking molds here.
  2. Now heat a medium skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add 1 tbs canola oil & ¼ cup brown sugar with 1/2 tbs Blackstrap molasses, 1/2 tsp, apple cider, cinnamon and the apples and saute for about 2-3 minutes or until tender, but not quite soft. Set aside.
  4. In a double boiler, whisk together the remaining canola oil, brown sugar. Gently put the eggs, whisking constantly. Do not let the eggs scramble.
  5. Add vanilla and remove it from the heat, let it cool for 2-3 mins.
  6. Add baking soda, flour, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg, mix to form a soft batter.
  7. Fold in the apples and their juices.
  8. Spread the mixture evenly in the muffin molds, bake for approximately 20 to 25 minutes.
  9. Let it cool completely.
  10. To make the glaze, in a small bowl combine powdered sugar, hot water and apple cider.
  11. Pour over the top of the muffins and allow it to set. Your Apple fitters with apple cider is ready to be served.
